I have been wanting to do Linton's "meet-cute" with Janna for AGES. Originally I was planning to do a separate side comic for this, but I kept stalling out because, while I've always had in mind how they met (she was a relief organization volunteer, he was a patient in the relocation camp hospital tent), I didn't really have a plot for the rest of it. Eventually I realized I could work it into the comic as a flashback or dream, as with most of the rest of Linton's backstory.

At this point Linton is about 16, and Janna is a little older, 18 or 19.
